Alcon conducts itself to the highest ethical and environmental standards. As suppliers to race teams, defence contractors and OEMs all over the world we are acutely aware of the importance of conducting all aspects of our business with the utmost professionalism. We do all we can to minimise the environmental impact and carbon footprint, both at our Staffordshire factory and through our distribution network around the world.

Alcon is currently certified to IATF 16949, an internationally recognised standard for quality management within the automotive industry. We also hold the ISO 9001 certificate as well as ISO14001 Environmental Management System certificate.

IATF 16949

One of the automotive industry’s most widely used international standards for quality management, IATF 16949, is evolving with the publication of a new global industry standard by the International Automotive Task Force (IATF). This latest version was developed with an unprecedented level of industry feedback and engagement by AIAG members representing North America.

ISO 9001 is defined as the international standard that specifies requirements for a quality management system. Organisations use the standard to demonstrate the ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

TUV AUSTRIA

Products are tested through factory inspections, laboratory tests, practical tests and studies. The submitted product is only certified when all of these individual tests have been passed.
